Below we have listed a few recipes that we have personally tried and liked.  We will add more as we try them.  BUT, there are a lot of muscadine recipes on the internet. So, do a search and see what is available.  If you find one you really like, let us know and we will post it here.

Muscadine Grape Sauce

This is a very easy sauce recipe that we have tried  on just about anything you would put a sauce on and it is really good.  But do try this on vanilla ice cream.  Outstanding!

1/3 Cup of sugar

1 tablespoon (T) cornstarch

1/2 Cup water

I tablespoon (T) lemon juice

2 Cups grapes, cut up and seeds removed

In a medium pan, add the grapes, water and sugar and stir to combine.  Cook on medium until the grapes are soft.  Stir in cornstarch to thicken.  Add the lemon juice once the pan is off the heat.  Pour into a jar or container and refrigerate once the sauce cools down.

Muscadine Grape Pie

We tried this recipe and liked it.  Someone told us that if you add a teaspoon (t) of almond flavoring, it tastes a lot like cherry pie.  We liked the grape pie just they way it is, but hey, give it a try.

Clean and stem 4 cups of grapes.  Remove the pulp from the grape but keep the skin.  Cook the pulp until it gets soft and the seeds become easier to remove.  Press through a colander to separate the seeds from the pulp.  Put the pulp and skins together in a pan

Add 3/4 cup sugar

1 1/2 tablespoons (T) lemon juice

1 tablespoon (T) grated orange rind

1 tablespoon (T) quick cook tapioca

Stir all these ingredients together and let sit for 15 minutes.  Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.  Either make a pie crust or buy a ready made one from the store.  Fill the shell with the mixture in the pan.  Cover the pie with a crust or a lattice work crust, your choice and bake in the oven for 10 minutes at 450 degrees then lower the temperature to 350 and bake for about 20 minutes longer.
